Before you call yoga un-Christian… read this.
Yoga isn’t about worship.
It’s about awareness. The kind that helps you slow down enough to notice your breath, your thoughts, your body’s gentle whisper.

I get the hesitation. For a long time, I thought yoga was something “other,” something that didn’t quite fit with how I was raised or what I believed.
But when I stepped on the mat, I realised it wasn’t asking me to change my faith; it was inviting me to listen better.

To breathe deeper.
To be kinder to my body.
To live with more intention.

The heart of yoga is not religion; it’s alignment- mind, body, and spirit learning to move in the same rhythm.
The yamas and niyamas (the guiding principles) are not commandments; they’re gentle reminders to live truthfully, be content, and let go.

So no, yoga doesn’t pull me away from what I believe.
It actually brings me closer to peace, to gratitude, and to God in the quiet moments between breaths.

If you’re exploring your own moments of stillness, you might love the Calm Witin Chaos Journal, a daily space to breathe, reflect, and find meaning in the ordinary.
And if you’d like to move with me, start with this short morning yoga flow, a few minutes to ground, stretch, and reconnect.
With calm,
