We Were'nt Meant To Do This Alone
Hi Mom,
I’ve been thinking about something lately.
For most of human history, women didn’t raise children alone.
There were sisters.
Neighbours. Aunts. Grandmothers. Friends dropping by unannounced
Life wasn’t necessarily easier.
But it was shared.
Someone saw when you were tired.
Someone noticed when you were struggling.
Someone reminded you that you were doing better than you thought.

And then somehow, somewhere along the way, motherhood became something we often do behind closed doors.
We’re more connected than ever.
Yet many of us feel surprisingly alone.
We text. We scroll.
We watch each other’s lives unfold through tiny squares on a screen.
But when was the last time you sat beside another woman and simply existed together?
No agenda. No performance. No pretending everything is fine.
No pressure. No agenda. No networking.
Just connection. Real connection.
I realised recently that this is the real reason I’ve been so excited about our upcoming walk

Not because of the walk itself.
But because it feels like a small step back towards something we’ve lost. Community.
The kind that reminds you you’re not the only one figuring it out.
The kind that makes you laugh harder than you expected.
The kind that lets you exhale.
The kind that makes the weight you’re carrying feel a little lighter simply because someone else understands it.
Not because of the walk itself.
Maybe that’s why a conversation with another mom can change your entire day.
Nothing around you changes.
But somehow you leave feeling stronger.
More seen. More understood. Less alone.

And perhaps that’s what so many of us are craving right now.
Not more advice. Not another thing to add to the to-do list.
Just a reminder that there are other women walking this road too. 🤍
A little question for you:
”Who has been part of your village lately?”
And if you’re struggling to answer that question…
Maybe that’s exactly why we’d love to see you at the walk.
With Love,
Tai | ZenMomTribe 🤍
